-with some tunings and dead airs exceeding 2 minutes, I found it beneficial for the listener to track these.

Solid Show
Had this SHN in my collection, although I had it marked as a bad recording, well to my surprise it's one of the Betty's I grabbed from here before Phil had them taken down. My first impression is how beautiful Jerry's voice is on this tape. Awesome show, Donna is mostly mixed in well. Thanks to all involve in making this beauty stay alive.

Good ol' Grateful 76'
First off my hats to Betty. She should be cast in gold and set in display for all to gawk at. I should say that 1976 was a mark in history. The boys were like Midus in that everything they touched seemed to turn gold. The music was flawless to the extent that they were pulling out old stuff and mixing it with new stuff and sounding very tight. Having just caught 4-12-2009, yes 2009 they sound just as good but just a little bit older. This is GRATEFUL DEAD at it's finest. All the old school heads know what I mean. It's nice to see them now, it brings back memories. Look for my review in "the dead" section for current shows and what I think of the negative reviews. For this show, 5 stars because it is 1976, and that is enough said. I would say download this one, but I just say Take Your Pick they are all Great!

Monster Show Alert....
I have climbed on board the '76 bus this year. I give big thanks to all the people who have made these shows available to listen to. I've listened to many a '76 show and this one is as good as either of the 2 DP shows from this year.
Lots of really great stuff happening in this show. I dig the groovy, stoniness of the entire year. Especially the Cosmic Charlie, it always takes me where I need to go and puts me where I need to be.
The whole second set is particularly strong.
The Music Never Stopped, Crazy Fingers, Dancing In The Street, Cosmic Charlie, Help On The Way> Slipknot!> Franklin's Tower gets a "Are You Kidding Me???" Pay close attention to the Slipknot! Almost 14 minutes of pure bliss. Extra, extra nice version.
5 stars all the way on this grate show.
Also check out 6/9, 7/18, 8/4, and 9/27 to round out a variable top 5 for the year. Or 6/3, 7/16, 9/28, 10/9, or 12/31 for that matter. You won't go wrong with any of these shows.
Peace.
